Change #1: Downsizing

Get rid of things you don't use!

I think one of the keys to true happiness is evaluating your material possessions and weighing out what you really need. I've thought for years how nice it would be to live off of a minimal amount of belongings, but I have a giant list of hobbies that I felt kept me from truly doing that. I was wrong.

I was merely holding onto to a large amount of craft and art supplies that I wasn't using. I had ideas for almost all of the supplies, but I rarely ever put in the time to make my ideas into a tangible object. I finally decided it was time to let go so I went through all my books, craft/art supplies, clothing, etc. and got rid of almost everything I wasn't using at the moment. No more holding onto things for that small chance I may use it someday. This was soo much easier said than done, but it felt so great when I dropped off my last bag of unused items at a local thrift store.

Seriously though, open up your closet and tell me you remember every item you have stored in there. I bet you can't. And I bet you wouldn't miss most of the items in there because you probably forgot you even owned them! Set yourself free. Keep only what you use and truly love.
